Alphanumeric Displays
Visible even in bright sunlight, these dual 20x2 displays
show the Active scene and the Next Scene. When the
Go Next key is depressed, the Next Scene shifts to the
Active display. Each Scene can be designated with a num-
ber (0 to 999) and a name with up to 20 characters.
Alphanumeric Keyboard
Similar to a cell phone keyboard, this section is used to
enter numbers and letters for Scenes and their name
tags. The keyboard also contains specific function
keys used in setting up Scenes. (Illuminated).
Primary Control Keys
These large, backlit buttons are used to select and
activate Scenes during performance, edit Scenes
in performance or rehearsal, and carry out primary
programming functions. These keys include Go Next,
Last, Preview, Store, and cursors for up, down, left, and right.
Secondary Control Keys
Smaller keys (most are recessed) access special
functions normally used only when setting up the console
for a different type of application. For example, these
keys may be used to disable specific functions to the
µ-processor control system, allowing a combination
of manual and pre-programmed control.
Controller Section
This section includes keys and a motorized fader used
for setting the MIDI controller information that may be
associated with each Scene. The motorized fader moves
to the position corresponding to any preset data, and it is
used to set new data for storage in memory. This section
can be used to set parameters for effects devices, lighting
devices, or any other application using standard MIDI
protocols. Similar to Input above, except affects output
mutes only.
