XPANDER

Talkback and Intercom System

V12 consoles include both a “Closed Loop” talkback system and an

industry standard intercom system. The closed loop system allows for

private communications between two Crest console operators including

the ability of the “external” talkback input to have selectable access

to all of the consoles talkback outputs and “Hot Access” to the

engineering monitor and headphone systems.

Meter Switch Bank

Interlocking switch selects assignment for the single bank of 8 meters on

the SideCar meter bridge. When used with a master console, these

meters may be selected to monitor the master console or local functions.

Aux Masters 1- 8

Allows local access and output of Aux buses 1-8. Iso switch isolates

(breaks) Aux bus connection between SideCar and master console.

VCA Local Control

Removes master console control of VCA channels 1-4, allowing use in

stand-alone applications or effectively adding 4 VCA groups when used

in linked applications.

Local L/R and Mono Output Sections

Individual 100mm high quality faders, local Solo and Mute controls, Iso

Sys Switch (isolates the Left, Right, and Mono bus connection between

the SideCar and master console), and assignment for local Sum output.

Solo Mode Section

Selects Additive, “Last Pressed” (Interlock) or Momentary modes, and

AFL or PFL local Solo.

SideCar Expander

The comprehensive facilities on the V12 SideCar expander allow opera-

tion as a self-standing console as well as adding inputs and flexibility

when linked to a V12 master. Most functions are similar to counterparts

on the main V12, but some are worthy of note.
